Client Brief:
Goldcentral.org is an online game listing portal. The client hired us to design and develop the portal from the scratch. It would provide several services to it's members like displaying banner ads, listing gaming site referral commissions etc. It would allow members to post message into the integrated forum. Though an independent entity, the portal however would have tie-up with E-Gold for making online payments in exchange of several currencies.
Our Endeavor:
We started with the front-end look & feel of the portal. We imparted a Windows XP type look & feel as that was what the client generally looking for. The entire portal has been developed using Object Oriented Programming approach. The portal is divided into two parts: the user area and the administrator area. The admin can manage most of the features of the user section using the admin section. Members can also ask any type of queries directly from the admin using a Trouble Ticket System. We have used PHP as the scripting language and MySQL database as backend to develop the portal. We have integrated E-Gold Shopping Cart API (SCI) for making payment in GoldGram currency.
